How to get him to ask me out...again?

this guy asked me out about a month ago, and I just got out of a previous relationship, so I really couldn't say yes. But now, I'm much more ready to be in a relationship, and I think that it would be best that if we were to get together, we should do it before the summer. How do I let him know that I want to date him without being too forceful or demanding?
